You bet Ben has found a sponsor!
The Kingston gymnast who could not afford to follow his sporting dream, despite being pictured on official Olympic promotional material, has finally found a sponsor.
Former Hollyfield School pupil Ben Brown, who was shown vaulting the London Gherkin for the London 2012 bid, told the Kingston Guardian last year that his dream of Olympic glory hung in the balance because he could not afford to train full-time.
But a reprieve has come from the unlikely source of online gaming site King Solomons Poker, which has given him the money he needs to train full-time.
The company will also pay his training and living costs, as well as performance-related bonuses for tournaments in the run up to the Beijing games in 2008.
Keren Fuchs, head of group marketing, said: "I read about Ben's story in the media and I then started making phone calls to see if I could get to him.
"I had to make quite a few but eventually managed to catch up with him.
"We invited him over to our offices and spoke about him and his ambitions. I never really doubted that we were going to sponsor him. He is a fantastic young man and we're delighted to help him achieve his dreams."
Mr Brown trains with the Sutton School of Gymnastics.
