A curious dog had a lucky escape when he got trapped in a badger set in Panshangar this week.
The Jack Russell was out walking with his owner in Woods near St Albans when he began sniffing around the badger set.
But curiosity got the better of him and he ventured inside the wild animal's home which suddenly collapsed on him.

On arrival firefighters had to get permission from an animal welfare organisation before rescuing the mutt because legally they cannot disturb natural habitats.
The little Russell was fortunately pulled to safety by his hind legs just in time.
The incident happened on Wednesday, but speaking to the Review today firefighter Paul Crosby said: "He was very lucky because the set collapsed behind him. There was little air left - he was lucky we got to him when we did."
