White carrot tops it

It was a white Christmas for one green-fingered resident who has caused a stir in the world of gardening by unintentionally growing a white carrot.
Eddie O'Brien, right, could not believe it when he uprooted the snowy-coloured vegetable which looks a bit like a parsnip but smells like a carrot.
The white beauty was alone in a harvest of orange carrots at Holne Chase, Bishopsford Road, Morden.
He said: "It looks like a carrot but I pulled the end off and smelt it. You can get purple carrots but they have been dyed. I'm really impressed."
