VISUALLY impaired children have been benefiting from some festive treats courtesy of a Highbridge-based charity.
The National Blind Children's Society, based in Market Street, has published a range of new titles through its large print book service, CustomEyes.
The titles include Harry Potter author J K Rowling's new fantasy work, The Tales of Beedle The Bard, as well as timeless classics Paddington and the Christmas Surprise and five festive Mr Men stories.
There is also a list of annuals for 2009 including The Beano and Dr Who, with best selling dragon fantasy series Eragon and Brsingr for older children.
A NBCS spokesman said: “All books are complete and unabridged and available through the National Blind Children's Society customised to children's individual requirements such as font sizes and background paper colour.”
