A luxury houseboat moored in Wandsworth has gone on sale for £655,000.

The 80-foot, Thames lighter has been converted into a three bedroom floating palace offering breathtaking views of the Thames.

It boasts a large roof deck and kitchen, a reception room with open fire, two bathrooms, a study and a utility room.

The purchase deal for the boat, moored at Point Pleasant next to Wandsworth Park, includes an underground parking space at the nearby Riverside Quarter development, and access to its swimming pool and gym.

Patrick Boakye, sales manager at River Homes estate agents, which is managing the sale, said: "Once you look into the figures, plus the monthly costs of mooring and other expenses, it's a fairly expensive option.

"But if you have the money, this is the houseboat worth buying.

"It has a 54-year lease on the mooring, which is the longest lease in London for a property of this nature."

The owner, who built the boat eight years ago, is moving to Holland, where he plans to build another houseboat on a canal.
