An Elvis impersonator left the building empty handed after losing out on a television quiz show last week.
Mark Goddard from Netherne-on-the-Hill appeared on ITV's The Chase, last Wednesday.
Hosted by Bradley Walsh, contestants must answer general knowledge questions and play their tactics right to reach the Final Chase, where they could win a pot of cash worth thousands.
But to reach the final, they have to beat the Chaser, a quiz genius who chases contestants down the board.
Mr Goddard, 47, said: "I got six questions right in the first round and I was very happy with that, but then I got caught.
"I used to write general knowledge quizzes and thought I had good general knowledge but I got swallowed up, it was a great day though."
