AN INTERNATIONAL hockey coach has joined the team at North West Kent College to head up its health and fitness centre.
Roger Allen, 56, who won 27 caps for Wales and two for Great Britain in hockey, has been appointed the head of sport and leisure at the Dering Way, Gravesend, college.
Previously a senior lecturer at Cornwall's Duchy College, he worked as tournament director for the British Squash Championships for five years in the 1980s and currently trains Wales and Great Britain hockey under-21s.
The Body Matters health centre is a training facility with sports hall, fitness suite, martial arts studio and swimming pool.
