Train passengers leaving from all First Capital Connect car parks will now be able to pay for their car parking by text message or telephone.
The 'Park & Pay by Phone' scheme will be launched at all First Capital Connect car parks on Thursday, following successful trials across the county.
By calling an automated voice system, or sending a text, passengers can pay for up to 31 days' parking within 30 minutes of leaving their vehicle in the car park.
Customers can also choose to receive a text alerting them that their ticket is set to expire and offering the option to extend their stay.
Karen Boswell, FCC's customer services director, said: "Many of us have been in the position when you are frantically searching for the right change at a parking ticket machine and you can see your train approaching.
"Park & Pay means you can board that train and then pay from your mobile phone.

"It is just one of the flexible payment methods we have put in place to make it easier for our customers when using our stations and car parks."
Drivers can still pay for tickets by cash, credit card, scratchcard or online.
FCC has invested in improving its car parks during the last two years, with particular focus on better security through an increased number of CCTV cameras and more substantial lighting.
Park & Pay by Phone was developed by FCC in partnership with car park contractor NCP and pay-by-phone specialist Verrus, which provides similar systems in 90 cities worldwide.
Passengers must register for the scheme. Call 0844 844 9995 or visit www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/parking for more details.
