Living Streets wants people to use their feet rather than their cars to get to work on Thursday

Workers are being asked to walk to work on Thursday.

Campaigning charity Living Streets wants people to leave their car at home or get off public transport and walk for all or part of their journey.

It wants people to walk for at least 15 minutes each way.

Anyone interested can pledge to take part by filling in a form on the Living Streets website. The Walking Works campaign is being run by the charity to raise the profile of walking as a sustainable transport solution for London's commuters.

Fine by me. I run my business from home, and walk to my study everyday as it is.

I did think about trying the journey by car, but the front door wasn't wide enough.
