Heathrow bosses are to appear before a special meeting of MPs to explain the chaos that greeted the opening of Terminal 5.
Passengers faced chaos when the £4.3billion terminal opened on March 27 and its baggage handling system failed.
Hundreds of flights were cancelled and thousands of pieces of luggage remain in limbo.
Some were even trucked to Milan for sorting after British Airways said it did not have the capacity to deal with them at Heathrow.
Airline and airport bosses are due to face the special session of the House of Commons transport committee on May 7.
