Thousands of passengers were trapped in Tube tunnels for hours on Wednesday after a power cut resulted in a blackout at the height of rush hour.
The entire Jubilee line was shut down by a massive power failure which left the trains stranded- each carrying up to 700 people - in tunnels for up to three hours.
Passenger Mike Dowling was on the Jubilee line at around 6pm when the line lost power.
"We were on the tube for 3 hours before we were taken off by TFL. The poor driver kept on apologising, nobody(sic) contacted him at all for those 3 hours and we were barely 300m out of Green Park station," he said.
"No aplogy as we left, no where to claim a refund for our tickets and time."
A Transport for London spokesman says around 5,000 people were stuck on nine services across the Jubilee Line.
