New Night Tube services will only benefit richer Londoners, it has been claimed.

Research by travel app company MapWay found the average house price in the boroughs the all-night weekend Underground trains will operate in is £394,000 compared to £285,000 in the areas set to miss out.

According to the report, 2.1 million of London's 8.2 million residents live in a location that will not be covered by the service.

Just five of the existing 11 London Underground lines will be open when the service launches.

It will operate on most of the Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines and the whole of the Victoria and Jubilee lines.

Night Tube was due to begin on September 12 but has been delayed after strike action by Tube workers in a dispute over how the service will be staffed.
