TWO young girls were sexually assaulted and a teenager fought off an attacker in separate terrifying incidents carried out in broad daylight in High Wycombe and Gerrards Cross.

The teenager narrowly escaped an attack in Gerrards Cross after two men told her they would kill her if she didn't get in their car. The 14-year-old was approached on Windsor Road last Wednesday by the men in a small blue car at around 4.40pm The girl panicked, got in the car and was driven to Manor Lane where the older of the two men took her down an alley. He told her to undo her trousers, but the girl hit him and fled the scene.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Natalie Camier said: "This type of offence is of a serious and personal nature that has left the girl upset and feeling vulnerable.

"The girl bravely managed to distract one of the offenders and then run from the scene."

This attack comes with the news of another unconnected assault on two young girls who were "touched up" by a man, while a woman and young boy looked on.

The man approached the two girls, aged ten and 11, as they played in woods behind the Beech Tree pub in High Wycombe on at 6pm on Sunday. He tried to lift the older girl's skirt up and then put his hands on the ten-year-old's legs.

Beech Tree landlord, Jules McCann, said: "It's outrageous to happen outside my house.

"I have got kids who walk my dog there everyday.

"I've warned them, but these two, they're vulnerable girls, they're young. I'm angry and sorry that it should happen to young kids."

Lucy Healey, who was working behind the bar on Sunday, said: "I was on a late until 11pm and I asked my boyfriend to come and walk me home because I didn't want to walk home on my own. You can't be too careful these days."

Both girls ran from the wood and alerted an adult, who called the police. But just an hour later, the man was back. This time he approached another group of girls, but didn't attempt to touch them.

Investigating officer, PC Becci Barnett, said: "Although the girls were not injured by the man, the experience was very scary for them and they did exactly the right thing by going to find an adult who could alert police.

"On both occasions officers made a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate him."

A woman and young boy of around four-years-old were with the man when he approached both groups of girls.

Police say they are looking for an Asian man is in his 40s, about 5ft 10ins tall, medium build, had short dark hair and was wearing white trousers, a black short sleeved shirt and black sandals.

The woman was also in her 40s, large build with long black hair just below her shoulders. She was wearing an orange sari. The boy was wearing a blue shirt.

The men in the first attack are described as white, one was wearing a tracksuit and had a curtain style haircut. The second was older, and had a wrinkled face.

Officers have been reassuring pupils and staff at schools near where the incident took place.
