One of the men arrested under anti-terror laws after police raids last week has been 're-arrested' under different legislation.
The 27-year-old was taken into custody during a raid in Crawley last Thursday, as part of a massive police operation against suspected terrorist activity.
The man was initially arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000, but Scotland Yard last yesterday announced he was no longer being held under this legislation.
He has now been arrested under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, in connection with alleged deception offences.
"He was released on police bail pending further enquiries to a Central London police station in July," a police statement said.
Police are still questioning seven men arrested after raids across Southeast London last Tuesday, during which half a tonne of ammonium nitrate, a possible explosive, was found.
A 17-year-old also arrested in this operation appeared in court yesterday, charged under the Explosive Substances Act, and was remanded in custody until April 14.
