The majority of residents evacuated following an explosion on Wednesday night are expected to return to their homes today.
Harrow Council officers inspected the properties in Stanley Road and Sherwood Road following the blast which levelled three houses, claiming the life of a 26-year-old businessman and injuring two others.
Residents of 50 of the 66 houses cordened off will be allowed back into their properties today after they were declared safe. Sixty people spent another night in temporary accomodation last night.

Fergus Shepherd, a spokesman for Harrow Council, said: "The council has done its duty in looking at the structural integrity of the properties and they have been declared safe.
"However, because they are not council tenants it is up to the householders to speak to their insurers about any damage.
"Twelve properties are still inside the police cordon. There is a meeting at Harrow Council tomorrow night with 12 of the most severely effected property owners to try and work out a longer term fix."
