Hunt for missing Securitas cash
Roger Coutts
Roger Coutts

A gang jailed after Britain's biggest ever cash robbery could face longer in prison if they do not reveal where the missing millions are hidden.

Roger Coutts, aged 30, of The Green, Welling, was one of five men found guilty in January of being involved in stealing £53m from the Securitas depot in Tonbridge.

But more than two years after the robbery in February 2006, only £21m has ever been recovered.

The Crown Prosecution Service has made an application under section 18 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 to confiscate the missing money.

If the defendants do not comply they could be found in contempt of court.

Coutts along with Stuart Royle, aged 49, from Maidstone, Jetmir Bucpapa, aged 26, from Tonbridge, Lea Rusha, aged 35, from Southborough, Kent, were sentenced to a minimum of 15 years.

These are all indeterminate sentences.

Former depot worker Ermir Hysenaj, aged 28, from Crowborough, East Sussex, was given a 20-year sentence.

They were all convicted at the Old Bailey of various charges relating to the robbery.
