A football coach has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman he had arranged to meet for a date.
Karl Taylor, 27, from Kemble Street, Covent Garden, is accused of stabbing 32-year-old Kate Beagley to death between May 29 and June 5 this year.
Kate, from Walton, was described by her family as "loving, thoughtful, dependable, loyal and tremendously popular".
Her body was found at Oxhey Woods, near Watford, at the beginning of June.
Taylor, who did not enter a plea, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning via video link and was remanded in custody until September 25.
