EIGHTIES pop icon Kim Wilde's blooming new career as a gardening expert blossomed at this year's Chelsea Flower Show.
The one time chart hit machine is now a fully grown green-fingered goddess after picking up one of the highest horticultural honours.
Kim was awarded a gold medal for her Lake District inspired Cumbrian fell-side garden.
It was the first time Kim, whose hit records include We Are Young and Kids In America, has appeared at the prestigious flower show.
Her garden was created in partnership with designer Richard Lucas and Wyevale Garden Centres.
After winning the award Kim said: "I'm absolutely delighted with my achievement. I visit the Chelsea Flower Show every year and it really is a dream come true for me to have won Gold for my first show garden here."
