Wearing a tight blue outfit, gold boots and gloves, and armed with an angle grinder, a self-styled vigilante against wheel clamping is patrolling London.
"Angle Grinder Man" (AGM), as the man has called himself, claims he is "the U.K.'s first wheel-clamp and speed camera vigilante cum subversive superhero philanthropist entertainer type personage".
"I for one am prepared to fight for what is fair and am making myself available to the public," the vigilante says on his website, which also lists a mobile number for people to ring if they want a wheel clamp removed.
AGM claims to use a special angle grinder to cut through wheel clamps, and has reportedly performed at least a dozen wheel clamp removals in London.
He also claims to be giving voice to "the frustrated and disenfranchised silent majority on the issues of wheel-clamping, congestion charging, speed cameras, etc".
Police and other law enforcement authorities are unlikely to look on his activities favourably, as cutting off wheel clamps is often considered criminal damage.
