Mick Jagger and Keith Richard`s hometown of Dartford will honour the Rolling Stones with their own street names.

Dartford Council has approved a list of ten street names inspired by the Rolling Stones on the new 1,500-home Bridge estate.

Among the street names given approval at yesterday’s cabinet meeting (December 11) were Stones Avenue, Ruby Tuesday Drive and Little Red Walk.

Enthusiasm among the council members extended to adding more possible names to the list.

These included Sympathy Street, Black Boulevard and Start Street and to streets named after the Rolling Stones band members.

Some members questioned the use of Satisfaction Street and Black Boulevard as possible street names. They also expressed a concern the themed signs might attract unwanted graffiti.

Police said there was a risk that street signs on the £400m estate would be sought by fans and collectors and therefore be prone to theft.
