A father and son have appeared in court charged with grevious bodily harm after a fight left a man with head injuries.
Delroy Chambers, 41, of 35 Farmilo Road, Walthamstow and Omari Chambers-Alert, 21, of 124 Tottenham Lane, Tottenham, appeared before Magistrates on Tuesday, both charged with grevious bodily harm with intent.
They are accused of attacking Euan Small at the Ochi Cuisine Caribbean take-away in High Road Leyton.
Mr Chambers, wearing a white and green sleeveless t-shirt and blue jeans, and Mr Chambers-Alert in white shirt, black tie and black trousers, spoke to confirm their names and addresses at Waltham Forest Magistrates Court.
Violence flared between the three men at the junction of Leyton High Road and Coopers Lane at around 1.30pm on Thursday, July 3.
Mr Small was rushed to Whipps Cross Hospital and is still under observation by doctors.
The road and surrounding area was cordoned off for a number of hours while police and sniffer dogs searched the scene.
There was a heavy police presence in the area well into the evening.
A front window of the take-away was also smashed during the fight.
Magistrate and chairwoman of the bench, Janet Silvera, sent the case for trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
A plea and case management hearing is due to be held there on September 17, at 10am.
She granted conditional bail to the two men, and told both they must not attempt to contact four prosecution witnesses.
Mr Chambers is banned from entering the E10 area, while Mr Chambers-Alert is banned from entering Waltham Forest.
