Zombie dancers gave celebrities a fright during a dinner party on the television show Come Dine with Me Halloween special being aired tonight.

White-faced dance students, from an academy in Kingswood, surprised guests at a meal hosted by TV psychic Sally Morgan.

Ten dancers, aged 8 to 14, performed in front of Robert Englund, who played serial killer Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Alex Reid, a cage-fighter and ex-husband of celebrity Katie Price, and Nicola McLean, a glamour model and WAG.

The children, from Carol Anne Dance Academy (CADA), had just two days to emulate Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance for Ms Morgan’s entertainment entitled The Living Dead at her home in Redhill.

CADA director Emmajane North said: "We had to go to Sally Morgan’s house. The celebrities didn’t know we were coming so they screamed because the kids were all dressed up as zombies."

Ms North said the children were still buzzing from getting to take part in the show and mingle with the celebrities after filming.

She said: "It’s really nice for the kids. They have worked so hard."

Chloe Tangney, a CADA teacher who has appeared on TV talent show The X-Factor, choreographed the dance.

CADA, named after Ms North’s mother who passed away in 2008, saw students perform at Epsom Playhouse this year and are providing dancers for Matilda the Musical.

Catch the children perform tonight at 8pm in Come Dine with Me on Channel 4.
