Two sets of engineering works have hit Lewisham this weekend, disrupting journeys and cancelling trains in south east London.

Due to Southeastern engineering works, rail replacement buses are running between Deptford/Blackheath and Plumstead all day today (July 4) and tomorrow.

Woolwich Dockyard, Woolwich Arsenal, Charlton, Deptford, Greenwich, Westcombe and Maze Hill stations will all be affected.

Further engineering work taking place between Hither Green and Petts Wood is also affecting Lewisham, meaning trains from London Cannon Street, Orpington and Sevenoaks are not stopping at the station.

Trains between Lewisham, New Cross, London Bridge and London Cannon Street are less frequent - as well as services between Lewisham and Hither Green.

Passengers can travel to Hither Green on 225 or 273 buses, or use the London Charing Cross to Gravesend via Sidcup line.

TODAY'S TOP STORIES:

Due to rail replacement buses, trains between London Charing Cross and Gillingham are diverted, and will additionally call at Eltham and Bexleyheath.

London Cannon Street circular train services are running between London Cannon Street and Sidcup via Hither Green only.

There are less trains between Sidcup and Crayford, and between Lewisham, St Johns and New Cross.

Passengers can travel on bus 21 or the Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich at no extra charge.
