An appeal against a decision to block plans to erect 10 flats in place of a house has been submitted.
The plans would have seen 89 High Road, Loughton, demolished and replaced with a block of one-bedroom flats, 10 parking spaces, vehicular access and a pedestrian bridge.
The demolition and erection was initially refused by Epping Forest District councillors at a meeting on February 2.
Reasons for the refusal included the bulk and height of the building being detrimental to visibility, overdevelopment and the position on a heavily trafficked road.
The appeal will be determined on the basis of written representations and a site visit by an Inspector.
Any comments and observations for or against the plans must be submitted to contactdc@eppingforestdc.gov.uk by May 21.
