An Orpington cyclist has been reunited with his bike after it was stolen in a burglary.
Police found the bicycle, which had been stolen from a property in Court Road, Orpington, on March 19 at an attempted burglary in Brookmead Way, St Mary Cray the next day.
The suspect fled the scene after being disturbed and left the bike behind in a nearby alleyway.
Bromley Safer Transport Team officers made extensive searches to find the bike’s owner, 47-year-old Mike Saxton.
PCSO Lauren Revell returned the bike to Mr Saxton on Thursday (April 16).
She said: "The victim was delighted and very grateful to be reunited with his bike.
“We are encouraging residents to property mark their bikes to increase the chances of them being reunited should they be lost or stolen.”
