Four men have pleaded guilty to burglary after £51,650 was stolen from Mercedes-Benz World just before Christmas.

They used a pick-up truck to ram through the entrance of the Weybridge showroom and ripped a cash machine was ripped free before being loaded on to the vehicle.

The truck drove off and was chased by Surrey Police to the Manor Road area of Wokingham, Berkshire.

The raid took place on December 15, at about 11.30pm. Security guards were reported to have been threatened by the intruders but not injured.

Scott Liddiard, 44, of Moors Avenue, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, John Cooper, 42, of London Road, Ruscombe, Reading, Jimmy Loveridge, 22, of Chertsey Road, Chobham, and Benjamin Eastwood, 22, of Stock Lane, Ingatestone, Essex, all pleaded guilty at Guildford Crown Court on Friday, wApril 17.

They are due to be sentenced on May 22.

  • Clinton Bowen, 33, of Caledonian Road, Matson, Gloucestershire, has applied for the charge against him to be dismissed. A hearing will take place in early May.
