A 32-year-old man, who died following a crash on the M20 near Wrotham yesterday (March 31), has been named as James Gosnell from Plumstead.
The incident, which involved one car - a black Jaguar X-Type, happened shortly before 11.30am on the coastbound carriageway between junction 2 for Wrotham and junction 4 for Leybourne.
The car collided with a road barrier close to the slip road for junction 4.
Mr Gosnell, who was driving, died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.
The carriageway was closed for six hours, while the M26 was closed eastbound from junction 2a.
Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene.
It is not believed any other vehicles were involved but Kent Police would like to speak with anybody who may have seen what happened.
