A Swedish journalist and education researcher visited a Merton school to learn from staff and pupils last week.
Harris Academy Morden welcomed Maria Sundén Jelmini an educational researcher and journalist from the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, as part of a European tour to review the work of successful schools and see if Swedish schools can learn from their European partners.
The school said Ms Sundén Jelmini was directed to the Harris Federation due to its successful track record in improving previously failing schools.
The visitor met the principal, students and toured the academy in Lilleshall Road on Thursday, March 12.
Headteacher Lee Mallin said: "It is wonderful to know that the Harris Federation name will now be known worldwide and associated with high educational standards.
"Equally, we are delighted that another Scandinavian country has visited Harris Academy Morden to find about our methods and meet our wonderful students."
Harris Academy Morden was visited last year by a large contingent of educators from Finland.
