Santa Claus took a break from his hectic Christmas schedule to tell children how he really gets round the world in just one night.

Father Christmas and his elves took a trip to The Broadwalk, in Station Road, Edgware, to answer questions about what life is like in the North Pole.

Inquisitive children asked whether he really eats all the mince pies left out for him and whether the reindeer ever get tired.

On Christmas Eve, Santa’s elves will be walking around the centre with a ‘Goodometer’ to check who has made it to the naughty or nice list.

Angela Brooks, centre manager of The Broadwalk Centre, said: “It’s such an exciting time of year and with so many festive events going on at The Broadwalk Centre the spirit of Christmas really is alive and well.

“Santa’s press conference was a huge success and we can’t wait to see who’s been naughty or nice on Christmas Eve.”
