A music teacher hopes to raise thousands of pounds with a Band Aid-style Christmas video.

Rosa Ullman, 28, a piano teacher from Finchley, recorded her pupils singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town and hopes to raise £10,000 for the charity Save the Children.

Miss Ullman said: “It was quite a mammoth job, and was difficult making sure everyone had an equal amount of screen time, because everyone’s contribution is important. My boyfriend spent many hours sitting at the computer piecing it all together.

“I am really pleased with the outcome. We had a little premier the day before it went online. It was really lovely watching all the kids and their parents watching it.

“It was a really lovely way to wrap up the term. All the little kids were a bit nervous, but they all seem to love it. It’s nice to do something creative and even better knowing it’s for a good cause."

The teacher, who has lived in Finchley all her life, takes part in a music video each Christmas with family and friends.

She said it was difficult choosing which charity to support, and added: “We chose Save the Children as they seemed to be very hands on getting involved, helping children round the world. As it’s children doing the video, I thought it would be very relevant and a wise choice.”
