Pupils had an “unforgettable” experience when they recorded a music video to raise money for a charity for sick children.

Jewish schools across north London came together to record Shir B’Yachad to help support Camp Simcha.

The song was the idea of Eitan Freilich, who lives in Hendon and acts as a ‘big brother’ for Camp Simcha by supporting families of children with life limiting illnesses.

He approached Hasmonean Primary School in Hendon, Mathilda Marks Kennedy in Mill Hill, Menorah Foundation and Posh Pinah in Edgware, and Sacks Morasha in Finchley, to take part.

Each CD costs £10 and all money raised will go towards Camp Simcha.

Mr Freilich said: "It has been an unforgettable experience meeting and working alongside such talented children, from an array of different Jewish primary schools within the community.

“I would like to personally extend my thanks to all the schools, teachers, parents and children who assisted my team in taking this album from an initial concept, into a successful production."

Jamie Epstein, ten, who attends Rosh Pinah School, said: “I hope that this record is bought by as many people as possible so it can raise as much money as possible for Camp Simcha who do a fantastic job.”

Ari Fruhman, six, who goes to Menorah Foundation School, added: “I really enjoyed the experience. I liked it when they put headphones on my head. It was very exciting.”
