Teenager remanded in custody in connection with armed bank robbery in Edgware

An 18-year-old has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with a bank robbery in Edgware.

Maciek Czachurski, a Polish national of no fixed address, appeared at Wood Green Crown Court today charged with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

A man entered the bank in Station Road carrying a firearm before taking £1,000 in cash from a till at 10am on November 18.

Mr Czachurski has been remanded in custody to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on January 7.
