Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir will return to the UK this autumn to perform in Wimbledon and celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The 52-strong choir, directed by Beverly Bryer, was formed to celebrate the power of African Gospel music and draws on the best talent from many churches in and around Soweto, South Africa.

The group's first ticketed performance was in Australia in 2003 and have since gone on to establish themselves as a favourite at the Edinburgh Festival with an enthusiastic and ever-growing UK fan base.

Having just recorded their sixth album, Divine Decade, Soweto Gospel has set off on a world tour with their UK leg starting at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

Over the last ten years, they have won two Grammys, were nominated for Emmy and Academy Awards and collaborated, recorded and performed with world-famous artists such as Bono and U2, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Red Hot Chilli Pepers, Andre Rieu and others.
