BOREHAMWOOD: Mother and baby dragged along road by bus
A mother and her four-month-old baby were dragged along a Borehamwood road by a bus after becoming trapped in its doors.
The 32-year-old woman, who has not been named, was getting off the 107 bus in Ashley Drive when the incident happened at around 4.10pm on Wednesday last week.
It is thought the buggy she was pushing became trapped in the doors. As the bus moved away the pair were dragged around 30 yards along the road before the driver stopped.
The woman sustained an injury to her ankle and some bruising. She was taken to Barnet Hospital but was released the same day.
The baby was uninjured.
PC Nigel Wakerley, of the Central Area Roads Policing Unit, is investigating the incident and said: "I am appealing for anyone who saw the incident take place and in particular, three passengers who also left the bus at the same time as the woman.
