POLICE officers visited Gravesend's Muslim Cultural Centre and Mosque as part of ongoing diversity workshops.
More than 20 police officers and civilian staff toured the mosque to learn more about Islam from Muslims.
The workshops, which began last year, are held to help officers and civilian staff gain a better understanding of communities in Gravesham.
Chairman of the Gravesend and Dartford Muslim Association Muhammed Aslam said: "I am honoured so many people have taken an interest in the religion.
"It is appreciated the community has been recognised.
"Cynicism should be eradicated through good community relations, which we have in north Kent, and this has been built on trust and honesty."
