A RADLETT woman will spend eight weeks working in a Thai orphanage.
Joanna Cousins, of Radlett, and her friend Ruth Whicker, 22, of Croxley Green, will next year work at an orphanage in the Samakkeewitthaya Orphanage in Sing Buri, an industrial town 150km north of Bangkok.
There the pair, who studied psychology at Leicester University, will teach English to about 350 orphans, run the vegetable garden and provide support to the youngsters.
The women are currently raising funds so they can take toys and gifts out to Thailand to give to the children.
