POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was seriously sexually assaulted near the Hollow Ponds in Snaresbrook.
She was driven to the park in Whipps Cross Road by a black man who spoke with a Jamaican accent and has been described as around age 40, 5ft 5ins tall, with short black hair.
He pulled into the car park next to the boating lake and walked with the woman into the wooded area by the ponds where he sexually assaulted her.
The man then took her back to the car park where she collapsed on the ground. He brought the woman to her feet, placed her in the back of the car, and drove away.
Police are appealing for witnesses who can shed light on the incident which occured between 6.45pm and 8.45pm on Thursday, June 29.
