A 31-year-old woman was assaulted and had her handbag stolen by teenage girls in North Finchley as she made her way home from work on Monday.
The woman was surrounded by four girls, who told her to hand over her phone, in Ashurst Road at 8.15pm. When she refused, the girls pushed her to the ground and stole her handbag, containing her Nokia mobile phone, worth £100, and £5 cash, before running off towards Friern Barnet Road.
The girls are described as black and aged between 16 and 18.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Mick Gornall on 020 8733 4595 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
