A YOUNG woman was sexually assaulted after she got off a night bus.
The attacker jumped out from behind a white transit van as the 24-year-old walked home along Guernsey Road, Leyton.
He spoke to the victim, but she could not understand what he said and she froze. He put his hand up her top and touched the top of her thigh. She pushed his hand away and told him to leave her alone, and he ran off.
Police are looking for a white man, around 22, with dark brown hair and bushy eyebrows who talks with an Eastern European accent.
The assault occurred shortly after 4am last Thursday. Anyone who has information should call Chingford police on 8529 8666, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
