Residents are being encouraged to have a green Christmas this year.
Festive food waste can be recycled in the brown wheelie bin and all Christmas cards can be put in the green paper and cardboard box.
And real Christmas trees can be taken to the Reuse and Recycling Centres at Thames Road, Crayford, or Maidstone Road, Foots Cray.
The centres are open as normal throughout the Christmas holiday, apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Alternatively, cut the tree in half and leave it next to your wheelie bin on collection day.
Bexley Council says that any wrapping paper which does not stay scrunched up is plastic-based and cannot be recycled.
Cabinet member for the environment Councillor Gareth Bacon said: "Now we provide weekly recycling collections, we expect residents will have less problems with their seasonal build-up of cardboard, paper, bottles and cans."
