HOUNSLOW: Chiswick church calls for people to think 'green' at Christmas

A competition has been launched by a Chiswick church to encourage people to think green over Christmas.

Working alongside eco-friendly organisations in the area, including Eco, Turnham Green gourmet gifts and Greentomatocars, St Michael and All Angels Church is inviting people to come up with their own green Christmas tips to be in with the chance of winning a hamper of Fairtrade chocolate from Divine.

To enter visit the church's website and click on the active advent calendar link.

Find the five sponsors, and their Green Christmas tips if they have any, and work out which is the odd one out and why.

Once you think you have the answer email your entry with your name, address and phone number to publicity@smaa.org.uk along with your own suggestion for how to have a more eco-friendly Christmas.

Entries close at 8pm on Sunday, December 21, after the Nine Lessons and carol service at the church when judges will make their final decision.

Entrance to the competition is free but donations towards St Michael’s Christmas Appeal are welcome.
