BUCKS: Cressex school plans set to be unveiled
Plans for the design of the new Cressex School will be unveiled for the first time today.
The school in Holmers Lane was promised a whopping £31 million from the Government to replace all eighteen of its shabby buildings.
Staff and governors had battled for five years to secure funding to re-build its crumbling premises, which was dealt another blow in February when the English block was burnt down in a suspected arson attack.
Since the announcement last year that it had been awarded funding under the Government's Building Schools for the Future scheme, staff have held workshops and consultations with the Cressex community about what they would like to see included at the new school.
Pupils have also been having their say about the new school's design inside and outside through workshops, which have been introduced into classes.
All students will receive a certificate today during the unveiling for their achievements in contributing to the design.
