DARTFORD: Nursery celebrates outstanding Ofsted report

A NURSERY is celebrating after receiving an outstanding Ofsted report.
In a case of double success, Springfield Lodge Day Nursery in Dartford has also been given a Kent Quality Award.
The Kent County Council award recognises good practice and improvements in providing for children.
This month the Powder Mill Lane nursery launches a holiday club in partnership with Oakfield Community Primary School in Oakfield Lane, Dartford.
The nursery caters for 132 children aged under five and 50 youngsters aged between five and eight.
Managing director Linda Berriman said: “For us it’s been a huge learning curve.
“It’s all been about team work, good communication and the ability to reflect on practices.”
Springfield Lodge also has a sister nursery in Craylands Lane, Swanscombe.
