An Eltham school has celebrated its 90th birthday with a special balloon release.
Pupils at Riverston School, in Eltham Road, formed the number 90 with the labelled, pillarbox red balloons, before releasing them into the sky on Wednesday (January 13).
Students and staff at the independent school, which caters for children aged one to 16, will be marking the anniversary with a further events throughout the year.
Headmistress Sarah Salathiel said: “Through a combination of sporting, creative, pastoral and academic activities and events, Riverston School will be celebrating its 90th anniversary through ninety events.
“From our babies in the nursery through the juniors, to our teenage boys and girls in sixth form, staff, parents and friends will join in events, from small to significant, throughout 2016.”
