Bexley is among the best education providers in the country, according to an Ofsted report.

The annual report shows primary and secondary schools' performances in each region over the past year.

The borough’s primary schools have had an 11 per cent increase in the number of pupils in good or outstanding schools since 2014.

The figure now stands at 90 per cent.

Bexley’s secondary school education has seen the second largest change with 97 per cent of pupils - an increase of 12 per cent - now in good or outstanding schools.

London is the best performing region in the country for students’ attainment and progress in reading, writing and mathematics when finishing primary school.
