The latest Ofsted statistics revealed the number of good schools in Bromley borough has gone up.

The figures released today (March 19) which cover October 2014 to December 2014, show little change from the previous statistics covering September 2013 to August 2014.

Bromley has one less outstanding school, 23 compared to 24.

MORE TOP STORIES Ofsted inspected two less schools this year, 90, but the number of schools ranked as good increased by two to 52.

The number of schools deemed as requiring improvement dropped from 17 to 13, and those ranked inadequate stayed the same at one.

Overall the only percentages that changed were 58 per cent of Bromley schools are rated as good compared with 54 per cent, and 16 per cent are now deemed as requiring improvement compared to 18.

The number of outstanding schools is still 26 per cent, and inadequate continues to be one per cent. 

The borough with the highest percentage of outstanding schools was Harrow with 50 per cent, and the borough with the most inadequate schools was Brent with five per cent. 

The data covers maintained schools and academies.
