A Hampton Court school became one of the first in the UK to hold a live online common entrance exam.
Independent school Hampton Court House, which will open its sixth form in 2015, held the November 6 examination in Mandarin, which has been taught at the school for two years.
The school's pupils averaged 76 per cent.
