The creator of Charlie and Lola, Lauren Child, opened Old Vicarage School’s library last week.
The award-winning author and illustrator cut the ribbon and declared the library open at the Richmond school after answering an array of questions from pupils.
Pupils were engrossed in what Ms Child had to share, particularly surrounding Lola’s imaginary friend, Soren Lorensen.
The Old Vicarage girls are now looking forward to delving into the depths of literary treasures old and new.
