An Eltham school is celebrating its 50th anniversary - after rave reviews from inspectors.
St Thomas More School in Footscray Road will celebrate its 50th anniversary this month.
The school had a 97 per cent rate of students gaining five or more A* to C passes at GCSE last year.
A six-year expansion of facilities at the school has seen the addition of outdoor sports facilities and interactive whiteboards in every classroom.
Headteacher Markus Ryan said: "A premium is put on courtesy, smart appearance and good order."
He added: "Pupils have real motivation to work hard and to succeed."
The celebrations were boosted by an Outstanding Ofsted report in May.
An open day will be held on September 26 in the afternoon followed by Mass at Christ Church, Eltham, at 6.30pm, with former students encouraged to attend.
