The chair of the governors at Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School in Dartford has resigned from his post.
Councillor Matthew Davis, who represents the town centre ward, confirmed to News Shopper he was no longer in the post.
He said: "I have resigned from my post and I don't really want to say anymore.
"I am no longer a governor."
The Conservative councillor said one of the reasons for this departure was the "pressure of the situation"
News Shopper is also awaiting comment from Revd M Henwood, vicar of Dartford Parish Church, who is also listed online on the school's list of governors.
Coun Davis is still on the list on the school website.
